Seth Franz is Founder and CEO of Urban Brain and Body and a proud Illinois alum. Seth spoke about his experience on campus and issued a call to action to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem here on campus. Seth spoke about his experience making the leap from the corporate world to running a mental health and wellness venture.

Seth had Fellows pitch their businesses and list their biggest wins and challenges. He then urged Fellows to lean on each other and constantly collaborate.

“I wasted three years in my business thinking I had to do everything by myself. Now, I crowd-source any questions I have. I always ask my friends and mentors.”

Seth had the Fellows realize how they are all facing similar challenges and how they can all support each other. Seth’s story was powerful, but his lessons on collaboration and teamwork is what will really stick with the Fellows.

Seth was especially good at helping aspiring and early stage entrepreneurs, in his free time (he has free time?) he runs The Launch Life, a resource for aspiring entrepreneurs.
