ExoWear

ExoWear is creating a wearable device to track 3D movement of the leg for the purposes of monitoring physical therapy.

Start Up Info:

ExoWear was created because the founders wanted to create a method for remotely monitoring their grandma’s physical therapy while being away at college. After speaking to physicians, they realized that patient compliance can be as low as 30%. As a result, this increases recovery time, healthcare cost, and patient frustration. We are developing a patent pending wearable device that can track 3D motion in space. Using this information, we can determine key medical information like range of motion, daily activity levels, and function tests. Our app serves as a platform that connects the patients with their healthcare provider, so that physics can obtain a deeper understanding of their patient condition. Already over 6 hospitals and clinics have reached out and are very interested in conducting beta tests with us. The next step is to validate our claims, file for our utility patent, and work through medical regulations.
